Students can seek guidance in building a resume, planning a career, developing job-search strategies, and more. Our staff welcomes opportunities to speak to classes and student organizations about career preparation, job search readiness, and the services we offer. Our career advisors can help build job search plans, assist in the creation of resumes and interview preparation, and assess and evaluate job opportunities.
The Center for Career Connections will also work to plan and deliver career readiness workshops, individual or group career planning sessions, and industry guest speakers in both virtual and in-person platforms. The department also facilitates virtual and on-campus interviewing and information sessions for students and graduates to engage with employers interested in recruiting entry level talent.
To access our virtual, in-person and blended services, Ai students and alumni can connect to a Career Advisor via virtual meetings, phone, and email. They may also attend virtual workshops and employment events, schedule a 1:1 appointment, or review self-directed resources and the digital job board via Ai EDGE https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_FKT1t_hhVI.
Whether your industry is graphic design, video production, interior design, multimedia, motion graphics, fashion, digital media, animation, or culinary arts, The Art Institute of Atlanta gives students and graduates the opportunity to develop the training and skills to become valued partners in your business.
We prepare students to pursue careers in design, media arts, fashion and culinary arts by providing an educational environment, with attention to changing technologies and other requirements of the global marketplace.
The mentorship & career readiness department welcomes employers to advertise part-time, full-time or internship opportunities to our community. http://artinstituteedge.com/postjob
The Center for Career Connections strives to protect students from job scams that target students and alumni. We make no representations or guarantees, however, about positions posted to physical or virtual job boards/Bulletin Boards or circulated by Career Connections staff; nor are we responsible for safety, wages, working conditions, or other aspects of off-campus employment. It is the responsibility of each student or alumnus/alumna to research the legitimacy and integrity of any potential employer. Please use caution and common sense when applying for any position with an organization or private party, particularly over the Internet. While most job postings are legitimate, bad actors use fraudulent job postings in an effort to trick individuals into providing sensitive personal information and/or transferring money in connection with a job that does not actually exist. Monetary scams can take a variety of forms including fake application fees or sending the individual a (bad) check for more than the agreed upon salary and then requesting the individual send the amount of the “overpayment” back to the fraudster (the check then bounces and the individual may not be able to recover the returned “overpayment”).
If you believe that a job posting may be fraudulent, please contact Career Connections at AiCareerResources@aii.edu so that we can investigate and remove the posting if necessary. If you believe that you have responded to a fraudulent posting, you also should contact local law enforcement. If you believe you lost money as a result of a monetary scam, you should also immediately contact the bank or credit card company for the account you used to report the matter, attempt to recover your funds, and close your account if necessary.
